Two hundred guests standing.
A fixed example of the planner's answer, written out in full. Every figure is a sample assumption for this fictional venue, not a quote or an available date.
What this example uses
| Guests | 200, children included |
|---|---|
| Format | Standing reception |
| Season | May, June or September |
| Days | Friday to Sunday |
| Food and drink | Sample allowance added, €60 to €100 a guest |
Not everyone fits under cover. The pavilion holds 120 standing, so 200 guests cannot all shelter under the roof. Agree an alternative arrangement or a postponement plan before you commit to a date.
Not priced here. Music, AV, flowers, photography, an officiant, transport, accommodation and any changeover between a ceremony and dinner.
The answer
Courtyard layout 3, twenty gathering points.
- Venue, net
- €4,700
- VAT at an assumed 18%
- €846
- Venue package
- €5,546
- Food and drink allowance
- €12,000–20,000
- Venue plus food and drink
- €17,546–25,546
How the venue figure is built: standing base €2,600, plus €3 a guest (€600), plus €800 for May, June or September, plus €700 for Friday to Sunday, then VAT. Monday to Thursday would cost €826 less.
The allowance already includes supplier tax; no second VAT is added. It is our assumption, not a caterer's quote.
