Seasons and weather

Plan for the weather you might get.

Twelve months

Four price bands, one strip.

Each month falls in one sample price band. The supplement is added to the sample venue package before the assumed 18% VAT.

June

May, June or September band. €800 net is added to the sample venue package.

The busiest months in this scenario. Plan shade for the afternoon. Illustrative pricing, not measured demand.

Season bands are prices, not safety scores. Any month can bring heat, wind or rain.

  1. November to March

    No supplement

Cooler, wetter months in this scenario and a good fit for company and private events under the pavilion. Plan cover, warm layers and the alternative.

  2. April and October

    +€500 net

Changeable months. Agree the weather plan early and expect cooler evenings.

  3. May, June and September

    +€800 net

The busiest months for outdoor celebrations in this scenario. Plan shade for the afternoon. Illustrative pricing, not measured demand.

  4. July and August

    +€650 net

The hottest months. Start later, keep shade and drinking water close and keep time outdoors short at midday.

A roof provides cover. Open sides still let weather in.

The pavilion is not an enclosed storm refuge, even when the guest count fits. If the forecast or conditions make the plan unsuitable, we discuss a different arrangement or date under the agreed terms. We do not promise an indoor move.

What to plan for

Heat, wind and rain.

Heat

For a summer outdoor ceremony, talk about a later start, shaded waiting and drinking water close by. We will not call any hour safe; we plan the comfortable version of the day with you.

Wind and rain

From autumn to spring, plan for thunderstorms as well as rain. Ask your suppliers about their own wind limits for marquees, sound and decorations.

Questions for a viewing

  • Where do guests wait if it rains?
  • How many fit under the roof for our format?
  • Who supplies water, shade and heaters?
  • What happens if the agreed plan cannot run?

Who decides, and when

A sample operating policy. We agree the names and the terms with you in writing.

  1. 72 hours beforeThe coordinator and your suppliers review the forecast and the weather plan.
  2. On the dayA second review before suppliers load in, with one named person deciding.
  3. Any timeWhenever conditions change. Guests hear through the contact you choose.

Seasonal context from the National Statistics Office study The Climate of Malta (2011, historical averages). It describes past patterns, not a forecast for your date.

Moving around

Tell us about step-free routes, places to rest and access to the WC without sharing medical histories. Ask about surface changes, doorway and path widths, supplier equipment and your arrival or pickup point. We confirm the practical route before an event.

Capacity is one part of the plan

The courtyard holds up to 120 seated, 200 standing or 150 for a ceremony. The open-sided pavilion holds 80, 120 or 100 respectively. These are alternative arrangements. A roof is not an enclosed storm refuge.
